I think the auction went pretty well. When you look at how it turned out, I don't think the top guys were overvalued. When Wade goes for 18 is 19.50 for James bad? What about Vince for 15, McGrady for 18? I think James, Bryant, Nowitzki, Duncan all went for pretty good prices. Yao might be at a decent deal. Other centers were grand larceny, given the relative lack of them - Ilgau for 12.15, Magloire for 3.00, Dalembert for 1.00, Lorenzen Wright for .75.
Darrin's a cheap fuck who probably paid a buck too much for T-Mac and a few too much for Kidd (when he goes down, will he kick himself for not grabbing McInnis?) but made up for it by getting aabout 6 or 7 guys for Wal-Mart brand condom prices. Zaza 75 cents? Good risk. Nenad for 1.25? Value. Joe Johnson for 2 bucks? I don't think he'll be as good as some, what with the Hawks 6 Small forwards, but 2 bucks is still a great price. Dalembert and Chandler were downright larceny. Toine Walker will be the best trade bait in the league in two months when four teams are desperate for Forward assists and scoring and the Zerr Master doesn't need him.
Maybe earlier I was just trying to justify my Dirk-James duo.
